Missionary Home Office

Fulfilling the Great Commission of Matthew 28:18-20 (Go and make disciples of all nations) is by no means an easy task. It is a life calling that often involves abandoning everything for the sake of proclaiming Christ. Someone once said “Mission is the reason the Church exists, and the Church joins Jesus on His mission. And, this mission is from everywhere to everywhere.”[i] The Old Testament depicts a clear God-given vision—that the nations would come to Jerusalem to worship with the one, true God. It was a very centripetal mission—from the edges (the nations) to the center (the temple in Jerusalem; e.g., Isa 2:1–5). Jesus is explaining that now His people need to go out and that He will go with them.[ii]

Upon getting on the airplane to leave into a part of the world that desperately needs the Good News, we start dreaming about making disciples from the minute we hit the ground, we envision spending every minute witnessing to the lost and “reconcile them to God” (2 Cor 5:18-19). The words of John Wesley renounce in our minds as he was exhorting his people to evangelize the lost.

You have nothing to do but to save souls. Therefore spend and be spent in this work. And go always, not only to those that need you but to those that need you most. Observe: It is not your business to preach so many times, and to take care of this or that society; but to save as many souls as you can; to bring as many sinners as you possibly can to repentance, and with all your power to build them up in that holiness without which they cannot see the Lord.[iii]

This might be the case to many, but often we find ourselves surrounded by people whom we don’t relate to, governments that are hostile to the Gospel, cultures, and habits that bother us, and eventually many small and insignificant things tend to drive us crazy. At this very moment, we realize our total dependence on God and start to fathom how hopeless we are apart from His grace and mercy.

With all these personal, cultural and spiritual challenges, missionaries find themselves straggling with maintaining support, communicating with their donors, writing newsletters, tracking donations, and being sure that donations are being made and received in a timely manner. All these logistical duties suffocate the missionary and burn anytime left to minister to people. Suddenly, the dream of preaching the gospel get buried under the burden of administrative tasks. Taking these challenges lightly can hurt your ministry and eventually causing you to abandon your calling to go back home.

Mission Quest® was founded to address this very issue. As a missionary service agency, Mission Quest® serves as a missionary home office to provide the logistical support to missionaries and their donors, to free them to focus on the Great Commission rather than the tedious administrative tasks. As your dependable missionaries’ home office, we want to release our missionaries to seek God and save the lost, we want to be sure that donors and their donations are genuinely blessings rather than an extra burden. Challenges in the mission field are enough and the last thing the missionary needs is another thing to worry about back at home.

As your home office, we understand that cultivating your relationships with your donors is very important, but it is not the main thing. We know that those relationships are vital to continue your work. Therefore, we want to help you better manage them. Mission Quest® will always strive to glorify God by serving you so that you can serve God better.

In our ministry as a missionary home office, we have implemented the latest CRM technologies to help you maintain relationships with your donors, and the best donation systems to aid your donors in placing their donations and facilitate the way your track their contributions. As your home office, we provide you with a real-time reporting on all your donations; this means that when someone donates to you, we will let you know within three seconds of placing the donation. Yes, we are that fast. Also, via our specially designed missionary dashboard, you can see all your donors, their addresses, historical giving, charts of your monthly income, any notes you have received from your donors, and you can export all this information in Excel and PDF formats. All these neat features are essentials in today’s world to ensure that your donors don’t feel neglected or taken for granted.

Mission Quest® is the home office for so many missionaries across the globe; missionaries who trust us with their livelihood and their relationships with their donors. Our high financial accountability standards and financial transparency have been acknowledged and accredited by multiple third-party organizations like the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) and GuideStar USA.

Mission Quest does not only process donations for missionaries, but as a missionary home office, we mobilize, love, pray and appreciate those missionaries who abandoned everything to seek God and make His name known among the nations (Malachi 1:11).
